Community Events and Activities

Don’t miss Heartland Bank at these events:

American Red Cross Blood Drive

Heartland Bank is teaming up with the American Red Cross to help ensure there is a safe and adequate blood supply for all in our community.

Heartland Bank Community Shred Days

Heartland Bank sponsored its 4th Annual Community Shred Days in 2009 to help combat the ever-increasing problem of identity theft.

Free Shred Day events were held in 11 of our communities this year, including Bloomington-Normal, Champaign-Urbana, Morton, Washington, Quincy, and Macomb. Hundreds of residents participated, filling the shred trucks with thousands of pounds of shred!

Heartland Bank is proud to partner with Cintas, a national service provider of document storage and disposal, to provide this service free of charge as a community service!

Protecting your personal and financial information is crucial to helping you defend against identity theft. Destroying documents with personal and financial information—such as old credit card and utility bills, copies of credit applications, physician statements, insurance forms, and bank statements—is one way safeguard your information and deter identity thieves.

We thank everyone who attended in the past and hope to see you again in 2010. Check back in early 2010 for a schedule of dates, times, and locations near you.

Additional identity theft prevention tips and reporting resources can be found online at www.ftc.gov/idtheft.
