Chad Beaty

Senior Lender

Bio

As Market Leader for Heartland Bank in Bloomington-Normal, Chad manages the loan portfolio for businesses throughout the twin cities. In this capacity, he supervises commercial and real-estate lending for facilities that are both owner-occupied and non-owner-occupied. He and his team mainly specialize in helping small businesses obtain operating lines of credit and equipment financing. Chad also oversees recruiting, hiring, training and development of the commercial lending staff at the bank’s locations in the local area.

Chad began learning about banking at an early age, since his father was a bank president, and he started expressing a keen interest in the discipline during his college years. After earning a bachelor's degree in business administration from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1999, Chad accepted a position at a bank in Aurora, Illinois. Two years later, he joined Heartland Bank as a mortgage lender, and gradually transitioned into commercial lending. Intent on expanding his leadership capabilities, Chad completed advanced management education at the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 2008.

Chad serves as treasurer of the board of directors for the Bloomington YMCA. He also is an active, involved member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Normal, and enjoys coaching young baseball players who are part of the Bloomington-Normal Baseball Association Renegades Program.

A DeKalb native, Chad moved to Bloomington in 2001 with his wife, Beth, whom he met in college. They have two sons, Kyle and Lucas, who enjoy participating in various sports, including baseball, football and golf. Their athletic schedules keep both parents very busy during evenings and weekends throughout the year. The whole family also enjoys boating and camping, and Chad likes to go golfing on occasion.
