Bio
Chris Beard, assistant vice president, began his career as a fund accountant in 2015, then as a credit analyst, before transitioning to a portfolio manager in 2022. He joined Heartland Bank in 2022 as a commercial lender. Chris takes pride in and enjoys helping business owners find the tools to grow their business, understanding that it is those businesses and people that make communities grow and thrive.
Chris earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Illinois Wesleyan University and remains active in the community as a member of his local chamber of commerce and the Edwardsville Rotary. He also serves as the treasurer of the local River’s Edge Figure Skating Club.
Chris currently resides in Edwardsville with his wife, Kelsey, and their two boys. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time outdoors.
