Bio
Justin Kennedy currently serves as senior vice president of the commercial lending group in Cook County. He has over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate and has been with Heartland Bank since 2015. As one of the more seasoned lenders, he handles some of the most complex projects financed by the bank. Justin is focused on building strong relationships with his customers, to provide them with sound advice and certainty of execution. His experience covers term loans to ground-up construction facilities and everything in between across an array of asset types, including multi-family, industrial, retail, office, land and special purpose properties like self-storage and student housing.
Justin earned his bachelor's degree from Southern Illinois University, where he majored in finance with a specialization in real estate. He is also a licensed real estate broker in Illinois and spent his first three post-graduation years in the industrial real estate brokerage space.
