Bio
Tom began his career in banking over eight years ago, transitioning into commercial lending four years ago. Currently, Tom serves as a commercial lender for Heartland Bank at our Waterloo, IA, branch where his passion is the interaction with clients and helping his clients achieve their financial goals. For Tom, “closing day” is his favorite day.
Tom earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from St. John’s University in Minnesota and is a graduate of the Iowa Commercial Lending School. Tom is active in the community participating in the Cedar Valley Leadership Institute and as a member of the Cedar Valley Association for Soft Trails.
Tom currently resides in Cedar Falls, IA, with his wife, Sydney and their golden retriever, Miles. In his spare time, Tom enjoys snow and water skiing, mountain biking, fishing, traveling and spending time outdoors at the family cabin in Brainerd.
